What is the Movable Type Authorized Reseller Program?
The Movable Type (MT) Reseller Program allows developers, designers, agencies, IT professionals, and consultants to partner with Six Apart to market and sell Movable Type products. Anyone - from individuals to corporations - needing superior blogging and website products can get what they need from a reseller; the program enables our partners to provide their customers with the Movable Type solutions that are right for them.

How do I become a Movable Type Reseller?
To join the Movable Type Reseller Program, please visit www.movabletype.com/partners/reseller and complete the Movable Type Reseller Application. Once submitted, a member of the Six Apart team will review it, and you'll receive notification of acceptance within 3 business days. Once approved as a Movable Type Reseller, you'll receive an email with a link to accept the terms of the Movable Type Authorized Reseller Agreement and instructions to create your account.
What type of discounts can I enjoy as a Movable Type Reseller?
Qualified resellers in good standing can enjoy a 30% discount off the retail price of the Movable Type Commercial product. See below for pricing chart.

What products can I market as a Movable Type Reseller?
You can market the Movable Type commercial license. If your clients need more than a 20 user license of Movable Type, Movable Type Enterprise Solution or Movable Type Community Solution, you'll need to contact the Movable Type sales team to discuss selling agent agreement. What are the terms of the Reseller Program?
As noted in the Terms and Conditions, the Reseller Program is available in the continents of North America, South America and Asia (excluding Japan). In addition, all members must
- meet the reseller definition: a person or company who provides Movable Type bundled with
- website design or programming services
- reseller's proprietary software and/or hardware products
- third-party software and/or hardware products sourced by reseller
- installation or integration of the software into the end user's computing environment
- demonstrate client satisfaction through description of services, examples of work and customer referrals.
- have clients accept Movable Type EULA (built into the reseller client contract). Once the software is transferred to the client, EULA transfers to the client.
- sell Movable Type with 1-year support contract.
Does a Reseller get support?
Yes. As a Reseller you will receive technical support.
How is support provided with a Reseller sku?
If you are purchasing a MT Reseller license on behalf of your client, the sku is bundled with 12 months of technical support. The support and maintenance contract begins at the time of initial purchase, and is transferred to your client at the time of license transfer. If additional support is needed, a la carte support packages are available for purchase.
How does the Resellers Program compare to the Six Apart ProNet Program?
The ProNet Program is a great way for developers and web designers to become part of our extended professional community where they can learn more about future products, and how to reach customers. The Reseller Program is best suited for individuals or companies who offer development or design related services, and are looking to resell Movable Type solutions to their customers.
